Happy Holidays from Taptopia

December 2009

We hope you've been enjoying a great start to the holiday season. We know it's a busy time of year for everyone so we're keeping this newsletter brief.

IAEE Expo! Expo! 2009

Taptopia is a Gold Level Sponsor of the IAEE Expo! Expo! 2009 annual meeting. We'll be in booth 317 and we're looking forward to meeting customers and partners at the event. If you're in Atlanta, GA Dec 8 - 10, please stop by or set up a meeting with us - we'd love to chat.

Please download the free IAEE Expo! Expo! 2009 iPhone/iPod touch App available on the app store now: http://itunes.com/apps/iaee - it's powered by our new Taptopia Event Service.

Taptopia Event Service

We're focusing on the Taptopia Event Service at the IAEE Expo! Expo! 2009 annual meeting. Our new event service aims to provide engaging, beautiful iPhone (and iPod touch) Apps custom built for events. Our initial focus is on larger events, exhibitions, trade shows, and meetings but we hope to scale the service to provide solutions for both small and large venues.

To kick things off, we're providing the official iPhone App for IAEE's Expo! Expo! 2009 and talking with industry leaders in the events industry to fine tune the service offering.

Future Technologies

Looking to the future, we're heavily involved in several technologies we hope to push our events and other Apps to the next level. These include interior location/navigation technologies that will allow our Apps to find your location even when inside buildings where GPS coverage is non-existent.

We're also excited about the "augmented reality" capabilities of the new iPhone 3GS that allows overlaying real-time computer graphics to live streaming video. The applications in the events industry are staggering: from displaying exhibitor information on top of booths on the exhibit floor, extended product information when visiting a booth, to augmenting educational sessions with data, graphs, and links during a presentation.

A lot of cool things we're exploring now that will lead to features and functions in our products in the future. It's really exciting and we're looking forward to seeing where it all leads.

Please send us comments, or suggestions to info@taptopia.com

Warm Regards,

The Taptopia Team
